I was refused a substitute or refund so obviously the whole lot went straight in the bin! I appreciate that the woman serving could not speak fluent english and we did have trouble understanding each other, but this is the first time i have ever come across a chineese place that titles a dish ‘pineapple fried rice’ and puts chicken in it! Also i had hoped that by mentioning the word ‘vegetarian’ this would have indicated that i do not eat chicken! Annoyed my meal was spoilt and at the wasted cost. I called the restaurant up and spoke to the woman who advised that there was a dish on their menu called ‘pineapple fried rice’ which contained chicken, and that is what i had been given. But more importantly the fried rice i was given contained chicken. I was served quite fast, and took my meal home to find i had been given 5 pieces of toffu which was very dry and not pleasant at all. The woman serving advised she could do this. I also told the woman on check out not to add egg to the dishes and mentioned that i was vegetarian. I did not use their menu but spoke to the woman serving face to face. I visited this restaurant today for the first time and asked if they could provide a toffu dish and fried rice with pineapple. I'll be using Wishing Star in Shifnal from now on. The crispy chilli beef is a waste of money, just a few crispy bits of non beef! Sorry Old Town you've blown it. Their prices are too high, they charge 50p service charge for using big foodie and £1.50 delivery even if you live less than a mile/quarter mile away! They charge 50p for not having veg with a meal or wanting it extra spicy!!!!! FIFTY PENCE! If you open up a prawn item in batter or any other coating you'll find it's only half a prawn so they skimp on that. I wasn't asking for money back or a replacement but was merely letting them know but their whole attitude stinks! The male on the phone was polite enough but you could hear a chinese woman in the background raising her voice. Didn't realise till after we had finished eating. Phoned them up last night to tell them my son had found a small piece of sharp plastic in his meal after he was nearing the end of eating, secondly the large tub of egg fried rice wasn't large it was a standard tub. Won't be using them again despite having been a loyal customer for years/since they arrived in Priorslee.
